A 17-year-old boy is facing charges of aggravated murder after his 38-year-old stepfather and 87-year-old great-grandmother were found dead in Kadłubie, Poland, on February 26, 2026. The case, which initially appeared to be a standard homicide, has taken a disturbing turn as investigators uncover the brutal nature of the crime.

The suspect was questioned for approximately three hours by authorities. He was brought to the prosecutor’s office in Strzelce Opolskie accompanied by uniformed and plainclothes police officers and was restrained with handcuffs.
A reporter on the scene described the arrival of the suspect, stating, “He was brought in by van, accompanied by many police officers in uniform and in plain clothes. He had handcuffs on his hands and feet.”
According to prosecutors, the teenager provided extensive statements detailing the events leading up to the deaths.
“The direct cause of death was numerous blows to the head with various tools,” the prosecutor stated.

Following the crime, the 17-year-old fled the scene and was apprehended several hours later in the Krapkowice County. He did not resist arrest.

When authorities arrived at the home on Thursday morning, the 17-year-old was no longer present. He was later located and apprehended without incident.
