A fresh shoe from Primark is flying off the shelves, and it’s giving major Kate Moss vibes. The retailer’s latest ballerina flats, priced at just €6 (approximately $6.50 USD), are already experiencing stock issues, according to reports.
The style, reminiscent of the slip-on shoes favored by the supermodel in the 2000s, features a suede-like fabric – a current fashion trend. Several brands, including Loewe, have recently released their own versions of the classic flat. Primark’s offering is available in beige, brown, and black, though the black colorway is already sold out.
The flats boast a minimalist and elegant design with a pointed toe and a deeper opening across the foot, intended to elongate the silhouette. They’re described as “ideal for wearing from work to the weekend, with trousers and midi dresses” on the Primark website. The shoe is positioned as a more sophisticated alternative to traditional ballet flats, almost resembling a cross between a slipper and a pointed-toe heel.
Available in sizes 35 to 42, shoppers can check online for availability. This launch comes as brands continue to tap into the early 2000s aesthetic, a trend frequently seen on red carpets and social media. Primark as well offers a range of other fashion, home, and beauty products, which can be explored on their website. The retailer also carries shiny ballerina flats, composed of 60% polyester and 40% polyurethane, available here.
