Paris Saint-Germain continued their title defense in dominant fashion, securing a spot in the Champions League quarter-finals with a decisive 3-0 victory over Chelsea in the second leg of their round of 16 tie. Having already established a strong advantage with a 5-2 win in the first leg, PSG easily advanced with an aggregate score of 8-2.
The French capital club quickly asserted their control, racing to a 2-0 lead within the first quarter-hour. Khvicha Kvaratskhelia opened the scoring in the 6th minute, followed by Bradley Barcola adding a second just nine minutes later. Substitute Sini Mayolo then sealed the victory for PSG with a goal in the 62nd minute.
Paris Saint-Germain will now face the winner of the Galatasaray versus Liverpool matchup in the quarter-finals. Galatasaray currently holds a 1-0 advantage heading into Wednesday’s decisive match.
