LAS VEGAS – Amidst the buzz of consumer technology at CES 2024, a french startup is showcasing an innovative approach to pest control. Qista, a deeptech company specializing in environmentally conscious solutions, is debuting its Qista One XS clever mosquito trap at the Las Vegas event. The company’s inclusion in the zebox accelerator programme showcase highlights a growing focus on sustainability within the tech industry and signals potential disruption in the $5.8 billion global mosquito control market.
French deeptech company Qista is making waves at CES 2024 in Las Vegas with the debut of Qista One XS, an intelligent and eco-friendly mosquito trap designed for residential use. The company’s presence at the tech industry’s premier showcase underscores a growing trend toward sustainable and technologically advanced solutions for everyday problems.
Qista was selected by Zebox, the accelerator program of CMA CGM, alongside approximately ten other promising startups, to exhibit at Eureka Park, the dedicated space for emerging companies. This recognition highlights Qista’s commitment to combining technological innovation with environmental responsibility and international expansion, according to the company.
“Being selected by Zebox for CES is a recognition of our trajectory. We are showing that it is possible to combine efficiency, respect for the environment and large-scale deployment,” said Pierre Bellagambi, cofounder and CEO of Qista.
Founded in 2014 and initially supported by the Cleantech incubator at the Arbois Technopole, Qista established its production facility in Sénas. The company’s core mission from the outset has been to protect people from mosquitoes while minimizing environmental impact.
Qista is exhibiting alongside companies focused on decarbonization, supply chain security, and automation, demonstrating the breadth of innovation on display at CES.
