Ramadan 2026 is shaping up to be a dramatic season for television, with a full slate of 40 series set to air across various channels and digital platforms, according to Al Masry Al Youm and Nabd.
The upcoming month-long viewing period promises a diverse range of programming, blending genres like suspense, action, comedy, and popular drama. The season will feature both 30-episode series and shorter 15-episode shows, offering viewers a wider selection and intensifying competition among producers.
Several highly anticipated series are already generating buzz. “رجال الظل: عملية رأس الأفعى” (Men of the Shadows: Operation Snake Head), starring Amir Karara and Sherif Monir, is a national thriller focusing on the struggles of national security agencies against emerging threats. It will air on ON and the watchit platform, as reported by Al Jazeera.
“إفراج” (Release), featuring Amr Saad and Tara Emad, will be broadcast on MBC Egypt, MBC Iraq, MBC 1, and the MBC Shahid platform. Meanwhile, “على كلاى” (On Clay), starring Ahmed El Awady and Dora, is also set to premiere.
The drama season also includes “صحاب الأرض” (Companions of the Earth), another national-themed series penned by Ammar Sabry and directed by Peter Mimi. This year’s Ramadan lineup is poised to deliver a compelling mix of established stars and emerging talent, captivating audiences throughout the holy month.
