Reality Star’s “Glatz Oszkár” Painting Fails Expert Valuation | The Best Offer

ValóVilág winner Farkas Ádám arrived at the studio of A legjobb ajánlat with a painting attributed to Glatz Oszkár. He and his fiancée, Dorka Gryllus – also known from ValóVilág – purchased the artwork at a flea market with the intention of reselling it, donating the proceeds to an animal shelter.

I don’t even know where to begin. This definitely isn’t a Glatz Oszkár. He was so skilled at painting hands, faces, landscapes, and whoever created this clearly wasn’t. There are a lot of problems here.

– began expert Pándi Balázs, revealing to András Sváby that the painting might be worth only a few thousand forints.

Farkas said he hadn’t even checked the signature, simply buying the painting because he liked it, but lowered his initial expectations to 20,000 forints after hearing the assessment.

Sváby stated that he believed the deception would be immediately obvious to the “Feldezők” (Detectives), and the experts were amused by the figures, the poor condition of the canvas, and even the flaking paint.

Alföldi Róbert was moved by Farkas’s intentions and purchased the painting for 20,000 forints to support the charitable cause. He plans to give it to his brother, with whom he often enjoys similar, poorly executed forgeries.
