A week after a dominant 5-1 victory at LASK, FC Red Bull Salzburg were held to a 0-0 draw at home by TSV Egger Glas Hartberg. Despite the stalemate, Daniel Beichler maintained the league lead in his debut as head coach, as both Sturm Graz and LASK too played to draws. Salzburg, however, remains without a win in four Bundesliga matches in 2026 (one win, two draws, and one loss). Below are statements from the match!

Anrie Chase made his Bundesliga debut for FC Red Bull Salzburg today, coming on as a substitute for the injured Tim Drexler after 35 minutes. The 21-year-old Japanese player joined Salzburg from VfB Stuttgart this past summer.
„Wir haben den Gegner eingeschnürt”
Daniel Beichler (Cheftrainer FC Red Bull Salzburg):
“I saw a very, very dominant performance from my team today. We pinned the opponent back and had a lot of possession in their half. However, we need to be critical of ourselves because we didn’t get the three points.
What didn’t work for us in the end was being decisive and ruthless in the box, and forcing a goal. Now we need to preserve our heads up, because the boys are disappointed. We have a very important game against Altach on Wednesday.”

Oliver Lukić, who previously played under Daniel Beichler at FC Liefering, also made his Bundesliga debut today, appearing for 22 minutes.
„Den Punkt nehmen wir mit, aber wir haben zwei verloren”
Frans Krätzig (Linksverteidiger FC Red Bull Salzburg):
“We controlled the game for 90 minutes and just needed to score. We have to take responsibility for that. We’ll take the one point, but I think we all sense like we lost two.”
