Capcom is taking an unusual approach to promoting “Resident Evil Requiem” – partnering with Stuttgart-based automotive manufacturer Porsche. A new trailer now spotlights the vehicle of Leon S. Kennedy, alongside voice actor Nick Apostolides.

To build anticipation for the upcoming release of “Resident Evil Requiem”, Capcom has released a brand-new trailer. However, this time the focus isn’t on fresh gameplay footage from the survival horror title.

Instead, the video material focuses on the sporty vehicle of protagonist Leon S. Kennedy, which he will be using to navigate Raccoon City. The trailer blends live-action sequences with in-game material, offering a detailed seem at the vehicle for which Capcom has forged an unexpected collaboration – with automaker Porsche.

A Porsche for the Apocalypse: Leon’s New Service Vehicle

In the ninth main installment of the Capcom series, Leon gets behind the wheel of a custom Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT, which serves as his personal operational vehicle. The real-world model boasts a powerful 660 horsepower, accelerating from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.3 seconds – ideal for a quick escape from biohazard chaos. This collaboration highlights the increasing integration of real-world brands into immersive gaming experiences.

However, the SUV has undergone significant modifications for its specific mission: the bodywork features an exclusive and appropriately dark paint job, and the chassis has likely been reinforced to withstand ramming attacks.

The trailer also suggests that Leon’s employer – the Division of Security Operations – has special survival equipment and weapon depots housed directly within the vehicle’s chassis. Capcom previously confirmed that the vehicle will also function as a kind of mobile storage unit.

It will be interesting to see the extent to which the Porsche is actually used in “Requiem.” According to Capcom, it won’t just look good in cutscenes – Leon will actively use the vehicle to navigate the expansive outskirts of Raccoon City.

Leon Voice Actor Makes an Appearance

Beyond the Porsche, the new trailer offers another highlight for fans: Nick Apostolides also makes a personal appearance. Apostolides is well-known as the voice and motion-capture actor for Leon in the remakes of “Resident Evil 2” and “Resident Evil 4”, as well as the Netflix series “Infinite Darkness” and the animated film “Death Island.”

While Capcom is building excitement for the release of “Requiem” with new video material, the publisher is also warning of massive leaks. With early physical copies of the game already circulating, clips from the finale and key story twists are appearing online. Anyone who wants to avoid spoilers should exercise extra caution at this time.

“Resident Evil Requiem” will be released on February 27, 2026, for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Switch 2, and PC.
