Another Restaurant Closes Its Doors After Appearing on Magda Gessler’s “Kitchen Revolutions”
The results of “Kitchen Revolutions” with Magda Gessler are often mixed. Whereas many of Magda Gessler’s ideas have a positive impact, some restaurants close despite the changes made during the makeover – and sometimes, they close *as* of those changes.
In the ninth episode of the 30th season of the show, Gessler visited a restaurant in Zielona Góra called Hot Italian Pizza. She decided to rebrand it as Trattoria La Piccola Strada. On March 11, the owners announced a “short break to recharge.”
“We would like to inform you that the Trattoria La Piccola Strada team is taking a well-deserved vacation. We are resting, looking for new inspiration and regaining our strength to return to you with even more energy!” they promised.
A return was planned for March 18, but on March 21, completely different, sad news emerged.
Customers Point to Problems Following “Kitchen Revolutions”
The owners of the Zielona Góra pizzeria announced they were closing the restaurant. They explained that the decision was not easy.
“We thought about it for a long time, which is why we took our recent break. Today, yet, we know that Here’s the right moment for us. We want to focus on our health and new professional plans that no longer include running the Trattoria,” they explained in an official statement.
Customers expressed regret over the closure in the comments, with many noting that the problem may have been the high prices of Magda Gessler’s menu items and the very long, complicated new name.

The owners, Rafał and Kamila, had a slightly different accept on the situation.

Shortly after the makeover on “Kitchen Revolutions,” Rafał and Kamila emphasized that Magda Gessler’s advice helped their restaurant a lot.
“It was worth listening to Ms. Magda’s advice, because today we have a real restaurant, the kind we always dreamed of,” Kamila said on the show.
As recently as November 2025, they were celebrating the changes made to their pizzeria on Instagram. They emphasized that the two signature pizzas created by Gessler were very popular with their customers, and they proudly served them, recalling their experience with Magda as a positive one. It appears the closure of Trattoria La Piccola Strada wasn’t related to the restaurateur’s ideas.
