Fire Crews Respond to Restaurant Blaze in Louisville

A firefighter sustained minor injuries early today while battling a fire at a Louisville restaurant.

Crews responded to a blaze at Tacos D Amor, located in the 3000 block of Springhurst Commons Drive, around 4:15 a.m. on November 8, 2025. Upon arrival, firefighters found flames visible through the roof of the one-story commercial building. It took 25 firefighters approximately 45 minutes to bring the fire under control.

According to Anchorage Middletown Fire & EMS, no one was inside the building when the fire broke out, and the structure suffered significant fire and smoke damage. The injured firefighter received on-scene treatment for a minor hand burn and was subsequently released. This incident highlights the inherent risks firefighters face responding to emergency calls, as detailed by the National Fire Protection Association.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by Louisville Metro arson. Local businesses in the Springhurst Commons area may experience disruptions as a result of the damage; you can find information about Louisville Metro Government services here.

Arson investigators are working to determine the origin and cause of the fire.
