A bolstered team roster and an increased prize pool highlighted the first stage of competition held on March 21st in Riga, Latvia. The event, which took place in favorable conditions at Ķīpsala, featured a brand new distance for participants.
The race center was located near the “Olimpia” shopping center, with the course weaving through the industrial port area, the expansive Spilves Meadows, and the Bolderāja district, offering competitors a scenic spring challenge through the city streets.
Athletes competing in the four and six-hour distances battled for “Intervals.lv” and “Impro” travel gift cards worth up to €1000, awarded to the leaders in the overall seasonal standings.
