Woman Charged with Attempted Murder After Shooting at Rihanna’s Home
Ivana Lisette Ortiz, a 35-year-traditional Florida resident, has been charged with attempted murder after allegedly firing shots at the Beverly Hills home of singer Rihanna on Sunday, March 8, 2026. The incident occurred while Rihanna was at home, though no one was injured.
Ortiz was arrested after police followed her Tesla to a mall parking garage in Sherman Oaks, California, according to reports. Her bail has been set at over $10 million.
Investigators say multiple shots were fired at Rihanna’s property, hitting the exterior of the home and a parked vehicle. Authorities believe an AR-style weapon was used in the shooting. At least two homes on the block sustained bullet holes.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, Ortiz has been booked for attempted murder. The LAPD Robbery Homicide Division is currently investigating the incident and working to determine a motive.
Prosecutors have stated that Rihanna, her partner A$AP Rocky and their three children were all home at the time of the shooting.
Ortiz was previously arrested on suspicion of domestic violence battery and violation of a domestic injunction in 2023, according to NBC Investigates Los Angeles, citing the Orange County, Florida Corrections Department.
Reports indicate that Ortiz allegedly shared several unusual posts referencing Rihanna on social media in the months leading up to the shooting. The incident has sparked widespread discussion about celebrity safety and security, highlighting the challenges faced by high-profile individuals.
