Rihanna’s Beverly Hills Home Targeted in Shooting

Rihanna’s Beverly Hills mansion was the target of a shooting on Sunday, March 9, 2026, with approximately 10 shots fired at the property. The incident occurred whereas the singer was at home with A$AP Rocky and their three children, though no injuries were reported.

Authorities have arrested 35-year-old Ivanna Ortiz of Orlando, Florida, in connection with the shooting. She is currently being held on $10.2 million bail, according to reports.

Law enforcement sources revealed that Ortiz allegedly used an AR-15 style weapon in the attack and one round penetrated a wall of the mansion. The Los Angeles Police Department responded to the scene at approximately 1:21 p.m. On Sunday.

During her first court appearance on Tuesday, Ortiz was charged with 14 felonies, including attempted murder. Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan Hochman stated that she also faces 10 counts of assault with a semi-automatic firearm and three counts of shooting at an inhabited dwelling or camper. “If convicted as charged, Ortiz faces a maximum sentence of life in state prison,” Hochman said.

Investigators have confirmed that Rihanna and A$AP Rocky were inside a camper on the property when the shooting began, and the camper was also struck by gunfire. A nearby home was also hit during the incident.

Authorities are still investigating the motive behind the shooting. Hochman noted, “The motivation for Ms. Ortiz is under full investigation. Law enforcement will be looking at any videos on social media, any additional evidence that they can uncover to both understand the motivation and why she did these particular acts.”

According to public records, Ortiz has a history of prior arrests in Florida, including arrests on suspicion of careless driving in 2021 and domestic violence and battery in 2023. She was also involved in a bankruptcy case in 2013. Records show she was a licensed speech pathologist and had no known affiliation with Rihanna or A$AP Rocky.

Police were able to locate and arrest Ortiz after a traffic stop in Sherman Oaks, approximately three miles from Rihanna’s home. The arrest followed a description of the suspect vehicle provided by a witness, aided by automated license plate readers and an LAPD helicopter.

The incident underscores the increasing security concerns faced by high-profile celebrities, and the investigation is ongoing as authorities seek to understand the full circumstances surrounding the shooting.
