SINT-MICHIELSGESTEL – Residents of Sint-Michielsgestel will have an opportunity to engage in a social card game event on Monday, March 16, 2026, offering a potential boost to mental wellbeing through community interaction.
The Helpt Elkander Seniorenvereniging is hosting a “prijskaarten” event – a card game combining rikken and jokeren – at the Meander community center (Gemeentehuis) from 1:30 PM to 5:00 PM. The event is open to all, including those who are not members of the association, providing a welcoming atmosphere for social engagement.
Participants can register starting at 1:00 PM and the afternoon of card playing will continue until approximately 5:00 PM. Prizes will be awarded to winning players, adding an element of friendly competition to the gathering. This type of social activity can be particularly beneficial for older adults, helping to combat feelings of isolation and promote cognitive function.
