Rismon Sianipar Visits Jokowi: Digital Forensics Expert Explains Research

SOLO – Digital forensics expert Rismon Sianipar met with Indonesian President Joko Widodo at his residence in Solo on Thursday evening, March 12, 2026. The meeting comes as Sianipar faces scrutiny as a suspect in a defamation case filed by Widodo regarding allegations of a forged diploma. Sianipar was accompanied by his attorney, Jahmada Girsang.

Sianipar arrived at Widodo’s home, located at Gang Kutai Utara Nomor 1, Kelurahan Sumber, Kecamatan Banjarsari, around 5:10 p.m. Local time, traveling in a black Toyota Fortuner.

Widodo personally greeted Sianipar upon his arrival. The two men held a closed-door meeting for nearly an hour before Sianipar and his lawyer departed.

“As clarified in the last one or two days, I have continued my research for the past two months,” Sianipar said following the meeting.

Sianipar explained that he has been re-examining and restudying all of the methodologies he independently authored, noting that those methodologies comprised approximately 480 of the 700-plus pages in the book, “Jokowi’s White Paper.”

“As that book is an independent work, our writing – that of Mr. Roy [Roy Suryo] and Ms. Tifa – was not interdependent or linked, as it was written separately, both geographically and analytically,” he stated.

Sianipar added that he continues to pursue his research, while remaining unaware of the work being done by Roy Suryo and Dr. Tifa, citing differing subjects of study.
