Romina Carrisi recently opened up about her personal life during an appearance on Verissimo, discussing the end of her relationship with Stefano Rastelli, with whom she shares son Axel Lupo, born in 2024. “The love was over on my side, even though we tried to move forward for the sake of our son. But there were too many incompatibilities,” Carrisi explained to Silvia Toffanin.
The Split
The actress described the emotions she experienced following the breakup. “I cry at night so my son doesn’t see me, because it hurts to see what happens after a separation – she admitted, visibly moved – for me, it was a failure. It’s toxic to stay in a relationship when there’s no love anymore.” She now hopes to find a way to communicate with her ex. “There’s a lack of respect, I would like there to be peace, not war – she stated – but we have different ways of communicating.”
Carris also discussed the separation with her mother, Romina, who is “single by choice”: “She told me that if light no longer enters the cracks, it means that those pieces shouldn’t be put back together.” Despite this, Romina Carrisi remains confident they will both be excellent parents: “I’m doing everything I can to raise Axel, and I hope to be a good mother. But I know we’ll be able to raise our son well, because we both want to. In the future, I hope to find peace.”
