Manchester, EnglandRosé has made history as the first K-pop artist to win a BRIT Award! The BLACKPINK star took home the International Song of the Year award at the BRIT Awards 2026, held Saturday, February 28, 2026, at the Co-op Live Arena in Manchester – a first for the awards show, which typically takes place in London.

Rosé’s win celebrated “APT.,” the lead single and biggest hit from her debut studio album, ‘rosie.’ The song has quickly become a global sensation, and this award solidifies its place as a major international hit.

“Oh my gosh It’s such an honor to be receiving this award in front of so many talented and admirable musicians in the U.K.,” Rosé said as she accepted the trophy.

The singer, sporting flowing blonde hair and a black asymmetrical gown, appeared visibly moved by the win.

She went on to express her gratitude, thanking several key people, including Bruno Mars, her BLACKPINK bandmates, and Teddy.

“Bruno, I’m receiving this award on behalf of the both of us — thank you so much for everything. For being my biggest mentor and best friend, I love you so much,” she shared. “My family at Atlantic [Records] for believing in me always, love you guys so much…. I’d love to thank BLACKPINK, Jennie Jisoo, and Lisa, I love you. Thank you for always inspiring me. Teddy oppa, I love you so much. Thank you, this means so much.”

This win comes after Rosé previously made history at the Grammy Awards, becoming the first K-pop female artist to perform at the main Grammy ceremony. Even as she didn’t take home any awards at that event, she received several nominations for “APT.” including Song of the Year and Record of the Year, as well as Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.
