Roy Black’s son, Torsten Höllerich, has led a complex life. In mid-July 2025, Höllerich gave an interview to the tabloid Bild. He revealed he currently lives in Colombia, working odd jobs to get by, and was even briefly homeless after his separation from his ex-wife. This, despite receiving an inheritance after his father’s death. “I received a total of around 400,000 Marks at the time,” Höllerich told Bild. He explained that the inheritance was divided into three parts, totaling 1.2 million Deutsche Marks.

According to Bild, Torsten Höllerich has spent all of the inheritance he received after his father Roy Black’s death. He told Bild, “I’m getting by. There are months when I don’t know how I’m going to pay the 200 Euro rent for our apartment.” Höllerich primarily earns money through small translation jobs. But where did his father’s inheritance move? He explained to Bild that he simply spent the money. “I wouldn’t miss the crazy adventures I had during that time for anything.” He doesn’t seem to regret it, stating, “You either have freedom or security. I chose freedom. I live with the consequences of my decision.”
