Jakarta – The Indonesian Rupiah traded in a range of Rp16,829 to Rp17,045 against the U.S. Dollar at several banks today, Friday, March 13, 2026.
According to data from BRI Valas, the rupiah’s buying rate was Rp16,829 and the selling rate was Rp16,959 as of 7:52 AM WIB. The dollar was trading at Rp17,045 for sales and Rp16,745 for purchases at the counter.
BNI reported similar rates, with the dollar buying at Rp16,895 and selling at Rp16,915 on its special rate product as of 8:05 AM WIB. Counter rates were set at Rp16,760 for purchases and Rp17,060 for sales.
Lukman Leon, an analyst at Doo Financial Futures, anticipates the Rupiah will continue to be influenced by global market sentiment. “The Rupiah’s movement in the future will likely remain between Rp16,850 and Rp16,950,” he said.
Yesterday, the Rupiah closed down at Rp16,893 in the currency market, amid ongoing concerns regarding the situation in the Middle East. The U.S. Dollar, meanwhile, gained ground.
Bloomberg reported the Rupiah closed down 0.04% at Rp16,893 per U.S. Dollar. The U.S. Dollar index rose 0.17% to 99.39.
Most other Asian currencies also weakened against the dollar. The Philippine Peso experienced the largest decline, falling 0.44%, followed by the Malaysian Ringgit, which lost 0.24%.
The Indian Rupee decreased by 0.20%, even as the Singapore dollar weakened by 0.04%. The Taiwanese dollar fell 0.10% and the Chinese Yuan declined 0.01%.
The Japanese Yen and the Thai Baht were the only currencies to gain against the dollar, rising 0.19% and 0.09%, respectively. The South Korean Won remained unchanged against the dollar.

Nilai Tukar Rupiah Akhir Pekan Ini jadi Rp16.958
The Rupiah weakened to Rp16,958 against the U.S. Dollar at the close of trading today, Friday, March 13, 2026. The Rupiah’s decline occurred alongside several other Asian currencies.
According to Bloomberg data, the Rupiah closed down 0.38% at Rp16.958 per U.S. Dollar. The U.S. Dollar index rose 0.45% to 100.18.
Along with the Rupiah, the Japanese Yen weakened 0.04%, the Hong Kong dollar fell 0.01%, the Singapore dollar weakened 0.21%, the Taiwanese dollar weakened 0.67% and the South Korean Won fell 0.68%.
The Indian Rupee weakened 0.28%, the Chinese Yuan fell 0.28%, the Malaysian Ringgit weakened 0.29%, and the Thai Baht fell 0.53%.

Rupiah Melemah pada Siang Hari
The Rupiah weakened against the U.S. Dollar in the latest trading. Bloomberg data showed that at 1:40 PM, one U.S. Dollar was equivalent to Rp16.953.
This represents a decrease of 60 basis points compared to the previous day’s close, or a drop of -0.36%.

Rupiah Melemah
The Rupiah opened weaker against the U.S. Dollar today, Friday, March 13, 2026, at Rp16.912. The U.S. Dollar was trading in negative territory at the same time.
According to Bloomberg at 9:05 AM WIB, the Rupiah opened down 19 basis points, or 0.11%, to Rp16.912 per U.S. Dollar. The U.S. Dollar index fell 0.04% to 99.7.
Most other Asian currencies also weakened against the dollar. The largest decline against the dollar was experienced by the Taiwanese dollar, down 0.37%, followed by the Philippine Peso and Indian Rupee, which fell 0.14%.
The Malaysian Ringgit also depreciated 0.06% and the Chinese Yuan weakened 0.03%.
