Sabrina Carpenter Jokes About Arresting Someone on SNL Promo
Singer and actress Sabrina Carpenter jokingly threatened an arrest during a promotional clip for her upcoming hosting and musical guest appearance on Saturday Night Live, referencing a recurring bit from her concerts.
In the promo, released today, October 17, 2025, Carpenter stated, “I think I might have to arrest someone for being too hot.” The comment is a playful nod to her habit of “arresting” a member of the audience at each of her performances. The bit played out with fellow cast member Marcello Hernández assuming he was the target, but Carpenter clarified she had someone else in mind.
This isn’t the first time Carpenter has playfully arrested Hernández; he was previously “arrested” during her “Short n’ Sweet” tour last year on November 17 at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles while she performed “Juno,” as documented in fan videos. Carpenter’s playful stage antics have become a signature element of her live shows, fostering a strong connection with her fanbase.
Saturday Night Live airs this Saturday at 11:30 p.m. ET/8:30 p.m. PT on NBC and will be available to stream live on Peacock.
Carpenter previously channeled Carrie Bradshaw in an earlier promo this week, signaling a potentially diverse range of comedic styles for her hosting debut.
