Samsung has released the eighth beta version of its One UI 8.5 update for the Galaxy S25 series, bringing the total number of beta releases to eight.
This latest release focuses on bug fixes, suggesting Samsung is nearing completion of testing before a stable version is rolled out.
The eighth One UI 8.5 beta, designed for the Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra, carries version number ZZCD and weighs in at approximately 1 gigabyte. Tarun Vats first reported the update, which initially became available in Germany before expanding to India, Poland, South Korea, and the United Kingdom within hours. The United States remains the only country yet to receive the update, though it is expected to arrive soon.

The update introduces a new type of story within the Gallery app, automatically creating monthly, quarterly, or annual reviews. Beyond this addition, the release primarily addresses bugs related to the camera, Studio app, lock screen, notifications, and connectivity with the Galaxy Book 4. Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra users currently enrolled in the One UI 8.5 beta program can install the latest version by navigating to Settings > Software update > Download and install. This could be the final beta release for the Galaxy S25 series, as reports indicate Samsung is preparing to launch the stable version. A stable version of the same software has recently been spotted on Samsung servers, further suggesting an imminent public release.
