Santa Fe and National Government Reach Agreement on Pension Fund Funding
The national government has reached a financial agreement with the province of Santa Fe to restore critical funding for the provincial pension fund, ensuring a total transfer of 120 billion pesos. The deal, facilitated by President Milei and Governor Pullaro, follows the province’s decision to cede the “ruta de los puertos” (port route) to the federal government.
Under the terms of the agreement signed with Ansés, Santa Fe will receive 10 billion pesos per month for one year. This arrangement is designed to address compensation regarding pending balances.
Governor Pullaro confirmed that the national government will resume the transfer of resources to the Caja de Jubilaciones starting in May. This move ensures the continued liquidity and stability of the province’s retirement system.
The formal agreement between the Santa Fe government and the Nation underscores the strategic negotiations between the provincial and federal administrations to resolve long-standing financial obligations.
