Sarah Michelle Gellar revealed she and fellow actress Reese Witherspoon were too starstruck to ask Adele for a playdate for their children.
The 48-year-old shared the story on The Kelly Clarkson Reveal, explaining that their sons all attended preschool together with Adele’s son, Angelo. Everyone wanted to arrange a playdate with Angelo, but no one felt comfortable initiating the conversation.
“But none of us wanted to ask. We were all so nervous,” Gellar said. Adele eventually moved back to London with her son. However, the actresses did encounter the singer a few times on the playground, and Gellar described her as “absolutely lovely.”
Gellar, known for her iconic role in “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” and films like “I Know What You Did Last Summer” and “Cruel Intentions,” has been married to actor Freddie Prinze Jr. Since 2002, and the couple share two children. Witherspoon’s son, Tennessee, was likewise in the same class.
