Two Egyptian nationals were executed in the Tabuk region of Saudi Arabia on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, for drug trafficking, according to a statement released by the Saudi Ministry of Interior. The executions underscore the country’s strict stance against drug-related crimes.

Ashraf Mohammed Ali Obeid and Osama Abdulhamid Mohammed Yassin were found guilty of receiving a quantity of amphetamine pills with the intent to distribute them. Security forces apprehended the men, and a subsequent investigation led to their indictment. The court convicted them and sentenced them to death, a ruling that was later upheld and ratified by higher authorities.

A royal order was then issued to carry out the sentence, as stipulated by Islamic law. The Ministry of Interior’s statement cited religious verses condemning corruption and emphasizing the punishment for those who seek to spread it.

The executions were carried out on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, corresponding to the 22nd of Shawwal, 1447 AH, in the Tabuk region. Further details about the case were reported by Ajel.
