Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Education has announced a 23-day school break for all students and teachers across the Kingdom, aligning with the official Eid al-Fitr holiday and the approved academic calendar for the year 1447 AH. The move provides a significant respite for the educational community as the Islamic holy month of Ramadan approaches, a period often marked by adjusted schedules and increased religious observance.
The ministry confirmed that the official holiday will begin at the end of the school day on Thursday, March 5, 2026, corresponding to the 16th of Ramadan 1447 AH, with classes resuming on Sunday, March 29, 2026, or the 10th of Shawwal 1447 AH. This means the break is just nine days away from the date of the announcement.
