SFMOMA Partners with Samsung Art Store to Bring Modern Masterpieces to Samsung TVs
Samsung Art Store has expanded its offerings with a recent partnership with the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMOMA), bringing museum-quality artwork to homes worldwide. The collaboration, announced March 16, 2026, marks SFMOMA as the first West Coast museum to join the platform, significantly broadening its collection of institutional partnerships. The debut collection features 34 artworks from SFMOMA’s holdings, showcasing influential artists of the 20th century.
For the first time, Samsung Art Store users can display celebrated works such as Diego Rivera’s “The Flower Carrier” (1935), Henri Matisse’s “Femme au chapeau” (1905), Wayne Thiebaud’s “Display Cakes” (1963), Jackson Pollock’s “Guardians of the Secret” (1943), and Piet Mondrian’s “New York City 2” (1941) on select Samsung displays. This integration transforms living spaces into dynamic art galleries, offering a new way to experience and engage with iconic art.
The collaboration makes these significant works from SFMOMA’s collection more accessible than ever before. Samsung Art Store is similarly expanding its modern masters offerings, introducing works by Robert Rauschenberg and Wayne Thiebaud to the platform for the first time.
“Samsung is committed to leveraging its market-leading display solutions and alliances to maximize the richness of the Samsung Art Store experience in homes around the world,” said Heeyeong Ahn, Vice President of the Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics. “Building on this commitment, our collaboration with SFMOMA represents an impressive expansion into the works of 20th-century masters, and we look forward to continuing to enhance our offering through other exciting and prestigious collaborations.”
“This collaboration with Samsung Art Store opens a new and exciting chapter in how we fulfill our mission of connecting people with modern and contemporary art,” said Christopher Bedford, Director of the Helen and Charles Schwab Foundation at SFMOMA. “By making our collection available to the public through innovative technology, we reach people who may never visit San Francisco, whereas also creating new opportunities for art to enrich everyday life around the globe.”

Samsung Art TVs, including The Frame and The Frame Pro, are designed to showcase artwork with accurate colors, exceptional detail, and a gallery-like presentation. The technology utilizes Pantone Validated ArtfulColor to maintain the authenticity of the original palette. A matte anti-glare screen and customizable bezels[2] mimic the look of a framed artwork, while the included Slim Fit wall mount conceals visible cables, creating the appearance of an original masterpiece.
The Frame Pro incorporates a Neo QLED 4K screen for even brighter colors and sharper contrast. Its Wireless One Connect Box[3] simplifies installation and allows for a clean and organized setup. The partnership highlights a growing trend of integrating art and technology to enhance the home entertainment experience.
The Samsung Art Store continues to invest in merging art and technology, transforming living rooms into art galleries with carefully curated selections.
By partnering with leading cultural institutions like SFMOMA, Samsung continues to democratize access to art while supporting museums’ missions to share their collections with a wider audience.
The SFMOMA collection joins the Samsung Art Store’s growing library of over 80 collaborations, offering subscribers an ever-expanding selection of art spanning diverse movements, styles, and eras.
The collection is available exclusively through Samsung Art Store on Samsung Art TVs.
