SFMOMA partners with Samsung Art Store to bring modern masterpieces to homes worldwide
SEOUL, Korea – March 17, 2026 – Samsung Art Store today announced a collaboration with the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMOMA), expanding access to museum-quality artwork through Samsung TVs. The partnership marks the first time a West Coast museum has joined the Samsung Art Store, significantly broadening the platform’s institutional partnerships.
The debut collection, launched today, features 34 artworks from SFMOMA’s renowned holdings, showcasing iconic pieces by some of the 20th century’s most influential artists. This integration of art and technology reflects a growing trend of bringing cultural experiences directly into the home.
For the first time, Samsung Art Store users can display celebrated works such as Diego Rivera’s “The Flower Carrier” (1935), Henri Matisse’s “Femme au chapeau” (1905), Wayne Thiebaud’s “Display Cakes” (1963), Jackson Pollock’s “Guardians of the Secret” (1943), and Piet Mondrian’s “New York City 2” (1941) on select Samsung displays, transforming any room into a dynamic gallery space. The collaboration makes these iconic works from SFMOMA’s collection more accessible than ever before.
The partnership also expands Samsung Art Store’s modern masters offerings, introducing works by Robert Rauschenberg and Wayne Thiebaud to the platform for the first time. This move underscores Samsung’s commitment to enriching the Art Store experience through strategic collaborations.
“Samsung is proud to feature SFMOMA – the first West Coast museum dedicated to 20th-century art – as the first West Coast museum on the Samsung Art Store,” said Kyle Menges, Director of Business Development at Samsung. “This partnership reaffirms the Art Store as the definitive home for 20th-century masterpieces, bringing iconic collections into living rooms worldwide.”
“This collaboration with Samsung Art Store opens a new and exciting chapter in our mission to bring modern and contemporary art to the public,” said Christopher Bedford, Helen and Charles Schwab Director of SFMOMA. “By making our collection available through innovative technology, we are reaching audiences who may never visit San Francisco, while also creating new opportunities for art to enrich everyday life around the globe.”

Samsung The Frame and The Frame Pro TVs are designed to showcase artwork with accurate colors, exceptional detail, and a gallery-like presentation. ArtfulColor technology, validated by Pantone, preserves the authenticity of the original color palette. The displays’ anti-reflection technology and customizable bezels mimic the look of a framed artwork, while the included Slim Fit wall mount creates the appearance of an original piece.
The Frame Pro incorporates an enhanced Neo QLED 4K screen for even brighter colors and sharper contrast thanks to Mini LED technology. Its Wireless One Connect[3] simplifies installation and allows for a clean, clutter-free setup, hiding connected devices up to 33 feet away. The Art Store is available across several Samsung TVs, including The Frame Pro, The Frame, Neo QLED 8K, Neo QLED 4K, and select supported QLED models, transforming living rooms into carefully curated galleries.
Through collaborations with leading cultural institutions like SFMOMA, Samsung continues to democratize access to art while supporting museums’ missions to share their collections with a wider audience. The SFMOMA collection joins the growing Samsung Art Store catalog, which already features over 80 collaborations and offers subscribers an expanding selection of artwork from diverse movements, styles, and eras.
The collection is available now exclusively through Samsung Art Store on select Samsung TVs.
