Sjaak Troost has stepped down from his position on the Feyenoord Board of Commissioners, effective immediately. The former player had served as a commissioner for seven years, and the club announced his departure Sunday evening following their victory over Telstar.
Troost expressed satisfaction with his lengthy tenure at Feyenoord, but acknowledged recent challenges. “The past two years haven’t gone as I’d hoped, and I take responsibility for that. It’s been a good run, and personally, it’s a good time for me to dedicate my time to other pursuits.”
