Several contestants on the popular television competition “Shall We Dance” have tested positive for a stomach virus, possibly impacting the show’s ongoing season. While officials have not released the names of those affected, a spokesperson confirmed the outbreak and stated precautions are being taken to limit further spread [[1]]. Despite the illness affecting some competitors, professional dancer Viggo Venn remains healthy and is maintaining a positive outlook.
Several contestants on the popular competition series “Shall We Dance” have been sidelined by a bout of illness, according to reports earlier this week.
“We’ve had a couple of cases of stomach flu among the participants, but thankfully, it hasn’t spread further at this time,” a spokesperson for “Shall We Dance,” Siril Vatne Meling, said. “Illness is something we can’t entirely prevent, but we’re taking precautions and doing everything we can to avoid further infection at the dance center.”
While the identities of those affected haven’t been disclosed, Viggo Venn (36) remains healthy and in good spirits.
“Apparently, I haven’t gotten close enough to people for a good cuddle,” Venn joked, adding with a laugh:
– “So, honestly, I’m a little disappointed that I haven’t caught the stomach flu to share with someone.”

Setting Sights on 2026
Venn also shared his hopes for finding love in the coming year.
– I’d really like to get close to people, you know? Really close to someone. No, I’m single for the rest of the year. I’m saving romance for 2026. Right now, it’s all about Rikke,” he said.
Cracked the Code
Venn’s journey on “Shall We Dance” has been a remarkable one. He’s gone from receiving lukewarm feedback and landing in the dance-off to earning praise and top scores from the judges in recent weeks.
Judge Nadya Khamitskaya (43) recently commented during an episode that Venn has “cracked the code” and has the potential to win the entire competition.
“It felt like things really clicked after we performed that dance dedicated to my friend, Kristopher. It was like all the pressure I’d put on myself to nail that dance just disappeared,” Venn explained.
“Now I’m able to enjoy myself so much more. And Rikke and I are really having fun in training. I think that comes across, too. It definitely feels more relaxed and playful now.”
“He Should Be Here, Not Me”
Venn and his dance partner are now focused on maintaining their momentum.
“We just need to keep building on the great training sessions we’ve been having and the good chemistry. I’m looking forward to showing what we’ve created even more, and I don’t feel the same pressure as before. So, I think the road ahead will be a lot of fun!” Venn concluded.
