Elsewhere, Kacper Tomasiak has already secured two medals at the Olympic Games in Italy – a silver and a bronze. He finished second on the normal hill and took third place on the large hill on Saturday. Paweł Wąsek placed 14th, while Kamil Stoch finished 21st.
If medals were awarded based on Saturday’s individual competition results, Poland would have finished fourth, narrowly missing out on the podium. Japan’s Ren Nikaido and Ryoyu Kobayashi would have taken the gold, with Austria’s Jan Hoerl and Stephan Embacher securing silver. Norway’s Kristoffer Eriksen Sundal and Johann Andre Forfang would have rounded out the podium with a bronze medal.
Germany and Slovenia, featuring Olympic large hill champion Domen Prevc, also pose a threat to medal contention.
Alpine skier Michał Jasiczek will compete in slalom on Monday, with the first run scheduled for 10:00 AM and the second for 1:30 PM. He will be up against Brazil’s Lucas Pinheiro Braathen, who previously triumphed in the giant slalom.
