Škoda is expanding the Superb’s engine options with a new iV version offering increased performance, previously unavailable in the Mladá Boleslav flagship model. The new variant is exclusively available as a liftback.
Škoda Superb now offers a broader range of powertrains. A new iV version with higher output has been added to the lineup, a feature that was previously absent from the company’s flagship vehicle. Though, this version will only be available as a liftback, while the Superb Combi will be limited to an iV output of 150 kW.
The plug-in hybrid Superb with 200 kW achieves its increased power through a more potent version of its 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine. This configuration delivers 130 kW, up from the standard version’s 110 kW. The turbocharged engine is paired with an 85 kW electric motor. A seven-speed DSG dual-clutch transmission manages the blending and transfer of power to the front wheels.

The 200 kW and 400 Nm of torque enable the Superb to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.1 seconds and reach a top speed of 225 km/h. The vehicle can tow a trailer weighing up to 2000 kg. A key benefit of the plug-in hybrid is its 25.7 kWh battery, which can be charged via DC swift chargers and allows for up to 100 km of electric-only driving.
To ensure adequate braking performance to match the increased power, the plug-in hybrid features larger, ventilated rear brake discs with increased diameter and thickness (310 x 22 mm).
The higher-performance iV version is only available with the liftback body style and in Sportline and Laurin & Klement trims. Pricing for the model starts at €54,250 (including VAT) for the Sportline trim. This expansion of the Superb lineup reflects Škoda’s commitment to offering a diverse range of options to meet evolving consumer preferences in the competitive European automotive market.
