UT Martin Soccer Shuts Out Morehead State 2-0, Secures Tournament Position
The University of Tennessee at Martin soccer team defeated Morehead State 2-0 yesterday, October 16, 2025, in Morehead, Kentucky, bolstering their chances for a postseason berth.
The Skyhawks took the lead in the 21st minute when Addy McCleary assisted Abbie McHenry for her first goal of the season. The score remained 1-0 until the 82nd minute, when Peyton Cook capitalized on a Morehead State turnover, scoring a breakaway goal to extend the lead. Cook currently leads UT Martin with four goals this season, while McCleary has a team-high three assists.
Goalkeeper Mac Titus delivered a standout performance, recording her sixth clean sheet of the year with eight saves. UT Martin registered five shots on goal, with Cook contributing two and McHenry, McCleary, and Unni Wolf each adding one.
