Czech actress Patricie Solaříková is responding to criticism with a confident display of self-acceptance. The star, known for her role in the popular television series Ulice, recently shared an unedited photo on Instagram, embracing her natural appearance after receiving comments about her weight loss.
Solaříková posted the image following a pointed remark from a critic, according to reports. The actress explained in a social media post that she’s noticed a pattern of commentary linking her self-expression to her body weight. “A few times I’ve come across comments like: ‘since she lost weight, she thinks highly of herself’ or ‘since she lost weight, she’s showing off a lot,’” she wrote.
She acknowledged the shift in her online presence, stating, “Yes, I guess ‘I’m showing off’ more than when I was 15 kg heavier. That’s understandable.” However, Solaříková emphasized that she isn’t constantly seeking the spotlight with revealing photos. “I still don’t belong to the people who post their photos in swimwear and poses on IG from morning till night (no offense to them!) and I never will,” she added.
Despite this, Solaříková expressed a newfound comfort in her own skin. “But, surprisingly, I feel the best in my body that I have ever felt,” she shared alongside photos showcasing her physique. This comes as Solaříková has been increasingly open about her body image journey, a trend that reflects a broader cultural conversation around body positivity and self-acceptance among celebrities.
The actress also admitted to still experiencing moments of self-criticism. “Sure, there are days when it’s worse, other days better, sure, I’d like to have a flatter stomach and thinner arms and I don’t know what else (but for that I would have to do something, right),” she said. “But I simply feel good and I am really grateful for that!” she concluded. Her journey to achieving her current physique, she noted, has been “damn long and difficult.”
