Czech actor Stanislav Majer, known for his roles in film, television and theater – and recently winning a Czech Lion Award for Best Supporting Actor in the 2024 film *Vlny* – is the new face of Volvo in the Czech Republic.
The actor revealed his partnership with Cardion Cars, a Volvo retailer, by becoming an ambassador for the brand in the Czech Republic.
Majer unveiled the collaboration in a playful video posted to social media, showcasing his acting skills as he recounts a fictional story of how he acquired the vehicle. The short film playfully references a classic Czech comedy featuring a car that’s constantly being polished.

Singer Matěj Ruppert, frontman for the band Monkey Business and a judge on the television show *Superstar*, reportedly played a key role in helping Majer secure the deal.
According to the video, Majer will be driving a Volvo XC60 SUV, the brand’s bestselling model, in the top-of-the-line T8 AWD Plug-in hybrid trim.
The all-wheel drive hybrid boasts a maximum output of 299 kW (406 horsepower) and 669 Nm of torque, accelerating from 0 to 60 mph in 4.9 seconds, with a top speed limited to 180 km/h.

The hybrid vehicle also offers an impressive all-electric range of up to 78 kilometers (approximately 48 miles) when regularly charged.
