Austrian late-night television is set for a dynamic evening on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, as “DIE.NACHT” returns with a stellar lineup of guests. Hosted by Dirk Stermann and Christoph Grissemann, the show will feature ORF correspondent Christian Wehrschütz and author Monika Helfer in the “Willkommen Österreich” studio, and will air at 9:55 PM on ORF 1 and will be available beforehand on ORF ON.
Following “Willkommen Österreich,” Hosea Ratschiller will open the doors to the Rote Bar at the Volkstheater at 10:55 PM for “Pratersterne,” welcoming Benedikt Mitmannsgruber, Maria Muhar, Marvin Tare, and Sarah Hakenberg for an evening of laughter, conversation, and music.
Rounding out the night, Nina Horowitz will host Nadja Bernhard, the anchorwoman for “ZIB,” in the second episode of “Liebesg’schichten und Heiratssachen – Der Podcast” at 11:30 PM.
„Willkommen Österreich mit Stermann & Grissemann“
The 668th edition of “Willkommen Österreich” promises a “satiating menu of sophisticated evening entertainment,” according to the program description, with the duo Stermann and Grissemann delivering their signature blend of gags and the weekly “Maschek” clip. The show will be broadcast at 9:55 PM on ORF 1 and available starting at 8:00 PM on ORF ON.
Wehrschütz, a veteran journalist who has reported from the front lines of European conflicts for 25 years, including ongoing coverage of the war in Ukraine, will discuss his career with Stermann, and Grissemann. Described as a “convinced Styrian,” Wehrschütz will reflect on a quarter-century of challenging and often dangerous work.
Also joining the hosts is Monika Helfer, whose tragicomic family novels have garnered critical acclaim. Helfer’s latest book, “Wer bist du?” explores the connection between two women and the power of storytelling. She recently released a poetry collection titled “Bitte schick mir eine Droge,” sparking curiosity about what might unfold during her conversation with Stermann and Grissemann. The program asks whether the hosts will succumb to the “Helfer-Syndrom.”

Hosea Ratschiller will host a vibrant mix of Austrian cabaret talent at the Rote Bar in the Volkstheater. The show, known for its lively atmosphere, will feature performances and conversations with Benedikt Mitmannsgruber, Maria Muhar, Marvin Tare, and Sarah Hakenberg.
