Rising Star Kohei Shoji Joins Cast of “Three Months to Live”
Kohei Shoji has been cast in the upcoming drama “Three Months to Live,” joining lead actor Shunsuke Kazama. Shoji will portray a younger, overly-thinking colleague who supports the protagonist.
The actor will play a character who provides support to Kazama’s character, a man who has been unfaithful to his wife. According to MANTAN WEB, Shoji expressed his delight at being able to play a “refreshing role.”
“I’m very happy to be able to play a role where I can be refreshing,” Shoji said.
The series, as well starring Hinako Sakurai, will air in April. News of Shoji’s casting follows previous announcements regarding the drama, which centers around a man facing a life-altering diagnosis. The addition of Shoji to the cast adds another layer to the complex relationships explored in the series.
Described as a “melodramatic actor” by Sponichi Sponichi Annex, Shoji is set to play a character who becomes entangled in the drama’s complex world. The drama is expected to delve into themes of love, betrayal and redemption.
The series is based on a story about a man who learns he has only three months to live after being unfaithful to his wife. Yahoo! News Japan reports that Shoji will play a colleague who supports the main character.
Movie.com also confirmed Shoji’s role as a “thinking-too-much younger colleague.”
