(Seoul=Yonhap News) Stray Kids took home the Album of the Year grand prize at the 40th Golden Disc Awards on January 11, propelled by the success of their latest album, ‘KARMA.’
BLACKPINK’s Jennie dominated the night, securing a total of four awards, including the Artist of the Year.
Stray Kids also earned the Album Bonsang award, bringing their total haul to two trophies at the ceremony held at Taipei Dome in Taiwan.
Jennie’s impressive win included two Digital Song Bonsang awards – one for herself and one alongside BLACKPINK – as well as the Global Impact Award with Prism, totaling four awards for the evening. This win underscores Jennie’s continued influence as a global pop icon.
G-Dragon also had a successful night, winning the Digital Song of the Year award, along with Digital Song Bonsang and Album Bonsang, for a total of three wins.
Newcomer awards went to the groups OLDEE PROJECT and Kortiz, while the Popularity Award was shared by BTS’ Jin and the duo Hatz2Hatz.
