Nintendo is expanding the voice cast for its upcoming animated film, Super Mario Galaxy, with the addition of Donald Glover, known professionally as Childish Gambino, who will voice the character of Yoshi.
The announcement, made by Nintendo on Monday, March 9, 2026, reveals Glover will be the first to lend his voice to Yoshi in a feature film. This marks a significant moment for the character within the Nintendo universe, as Yoshi takes a central role in the film’s narrative. Chris Pratt will reprise his role as Mario, alongside Anya Taylor-Joy as Princess Peach, Charlie Day as Luigi, and Jack Black as Bowser. Keegan-Michael Key will once again voice Toad, and Kevin Michael Richardson will portray Kamek.
Joining the cast as newcomers are Luis Guzman, who will voice Wart, and Issa Rae, who will voice Honey Queen. Benny Safdie will voice Bowser Jr., and Brie Larson will take on the role of Princess Rosalina.
