Suzuki is bolstering its service network in Indonesia to support anticipated high volumes of travelers during the Lebaran holiday period in 2026. The automaker is preparing 71 service points along major national routes, with 33 of those locations offering 24-hour service, to assist customers during the peak travel times.
The initiative, dubbed “Suzuki Bengkel Siaga 2026,” aims to provide peace of mind to Suzuki owners undertaking the traditional homecoming journeys to celebrate Idul Fitri 1447 H with their families. The company’s commitment to after-sales service is particularly essential given projections of significant traffic congestion during the holiday.
Indonesia’s Ministry of Transportation estimates that approximately 143.91 million people will travel during Lebaran 2026, with 76.24 million utilizing private cars and 24.08 million opting for motorcycles. Peak travel days are forecast for March 18, 2026, for outbound journeys and March 24, 2026, for return trips, according to DetikOto.
“Suzuki is present to provide support to travelers through the Suzuki Bengkel Siaga 2026 program to accompany loyal customers during their journey and ensure their vehicles are in prime condition,” said Hariadi, Assistant to the Aftersales Department Head of Service at PT Suzuki Indomobil Sales (SIS). The move reflects a broader industry trend of automakers proactively addressing potential service demands during peak travel seasons.
The Suzuki Bengkel Siaga 2026 program will be operational from March 18 to March 25, 2026, covering key routes in Sumatra, Java, Bali, Kalimantan, and Sulawesi. In addition to 24-hour service at select locations, 28 outlets will operate from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, and 10 two-wheeled vehicle specialist outlets will be open from 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM, as reported by Oto.com.
The company is likewise offering discounts on spare parts as part of the program. Suzuki’s proactive approach to supporting its customers during Lebaran underscores the importance of vehicle preparedness for long-distance travel, a factor that can significantly impact both cost and time efficiency, according to Bisnis.com.
