Elis Lundholm, who identifies as a man, will compete in the Winter Olympics as a member of the Swedish freestyle skiing team. He has spoken about his lifelong identification in several interviews.

Lundholm, considered one of Sweden’s most promising mogul skiers, is set to take to the slopes in Livigno, Italy, on Tuesday afternoon. His participation marks a significant moment for representation in the Winter Games.

The 23-year-old skier began using his current name and pronouns five years ago. Lundholm debuted in the Ski World Cup in 2024, finishing 18th, and has since earned four Swedish championship medals. This Olympic appearance comes as the International Olympic Committee continues to refine its policies regarding transgender athlete participation.
