Geneva Set to Host Curling Showcase as Swiss Teams Clash

Geneva, Switzerland – Curling fans are in for a treat as two of Switzerland’s top curling teams are set to face off in an exhibition match in Geneva. The event promises a thrilling display of skill and sportsmanship as the nation’s elite compete on home ice.

The match will feature Team Schwaller, fresh off a bronze medal win at the Milan-Cortina 2026 Games, according to Curling Club Trois-Chêne / Genève. This victory marked a significant achievement for the Geneva-based team, securing a spot on the podium at the prestigious international competition.

The exhibition game is part of a larger Curling Festival (February – April 2026) organized by the Curling Club Trois-Chêne (CC3C) in Geneva. The festival aims to introduce more people to the sport of curling, offering initiation sessions and open play opportunities. The World Mixed Doubles & Senior Curling Championships 2026 will too be held in Geneva, further solidifying the city’s position as a curling hub.

CC3C Genève, founded in 1946, boasts 200 members and four sections, making it the sole curling club in the canton of Geneva and one of the largest in Switzerland. The club supports elite teams, a junior section, a wheelchair curling section, and a senior movement. Fans can purchase tickets for the ACE & Company World Mixed Doubles Championships 2026, with sales now open, as reported on March 4, 2026.

Recent club activity included the Wheelchair Doubles Tournament held on December 13-14, 2025. The Swiss Championships are also scheduled, with the Elite Mixed Doubles Championship taking place in Geneva-Thônex from March 4-7, 2026, as detailed on Swiss Curling. Further Swiss Championship events are planned throughout March in locations like Luzern, Baden-Dättwil, and Thun.

The exhibition match provides a unique opportunity for local fans to witness the talent of Team Schwaller and other top Swiss curlers. The event is expected to draw a large crowd and generate excitement for the upcoming World Championships.
