Bangkok – Yoschanan Wongswas, a prime ministerial candidate for the Pheu Thai Party, has affirmed his commitment to public service following the party’s performance in the recent election. Despite the outcome, Wongswas pledged to continue working for the Thai people and prioritizing the nation’s interests.
Wongswas made the statement via a Facebook post on February 9, 2026, expressing gratitude for every vote received. He emphasized that his dedication wouldn’t waver, regardless of his official role. “I reaffirm that my faith and confidence remain the same,” he wrote, adding that he believes no one truly loses when the well-being of the country is the primary focus.
According to Thai Rath, Wongswas stated he would prove that every vote cast was meaningful. The Pheu Thai Party secured the third-highest number of seats in the February 2569 election, gaining representation from most regions of Thailand, excluding the South and Bangkok, reports indicate.
“Even if the role changes, I will not stop working for the people,” Wongswas said, as reported by The Bangkok Insight. He added that he remains “full of inspiration” and ready to serve in any capacity. This commitment comes after the party acknowledged the election results and expressed gratitude to its supporters, according to Post Today.
