The Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and 2 Remake is now available, delivering a wave of nostalgia and the skateboarding gameplay fans have missed for years. The remake revitalizes some of the most beloved skateboarding games in video game history, accompanied by a host of challenges in both new and classic levels. Players are tasked with completing all challenges to achieve 100% completion in the game and each level.
The Mall Level
The Mall level depicts an abandoned shopping center filled with graffiti, metal railings, ramps, broken walls and one Alien Plushie doll that unlocks the Alien skin in THPS 1 and 2 Remake, along with hanging glow sticks. The stage is packed with opportunities for grinding, jumping, and performing a variety of tricks.
To unlock all cheats and modifications in THPS 1 and 2 Remake, players must complete the Mall level, along with all other stages. The level includes several challenges that must be completed to reach 100% completion, including the challenge to perform a Nose Grind across the Coffee Grind Gap.
The Coffee Grind Gap Location
The required rail for the Coffee Grind Gap in Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and 2 Remake is located in the basement of the Mall level. At the start of the level, players should turn around and head down the ramp. Broken glass doors lead directly into what resembles a deserted food court. The rail is located next to the large floating blocks, and is the rail players must grind on to complete the challenge.

How to Perform a Nose Grind
Players must first jump towards the rail at an appropriate speed and then press the grind button. Following this, they must hold the up button to convert the trick into a Nose Grind. Continue grinding along the entire length of the rail and then jump off the end. A pop-up window will confirm whether the trick was executed correctly.
Tony Hawk may appear older in the remake, but he remains capable of efficiently performing a Nose Grind. It’s important to ensure the board is precisely aligned with the rail, as even a slight angle can affect the trick’s accuracy and cause it to fail. If players struggle to maintain balance during the Nose Grind, they can access the main settings menu and explore the Assists options, which can help stabilize balance on the rail when needed.
Completing the School Level at 100%
Achieving 100% completion in the School level is as challenging as it is in many THPS games and other skateboarding titles, due to the presence of challenges that require high levels of precision and skill. One of these challenges in the School level is the Wallride 5 Bells challenge, which requires players to perform a Wallride on five school bells distributed throughout the level.
These bells are mounted on the sides of some of the buildings within the level. While spotlights indicate their locations, they visually blend into the surrounding environment, making finding them all a task that requires focus and careful exploration.
Bell Locations in the School Level
The critically acclaimed remake of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and 2 features many familiar stages for those who played the original, and the School level is one of the most prominent. It takes place at South Beach Middle School, a sprawling school with several buildings, ramps, and graffiti-covered walls. The stage contains five bells that players must perform a Wallride on.

The first bell is located at the back of the gymnasium building, mounted on the wall to the player’s left. Successfully performing a Wallride on it will bring up a pop-up message confirming the completion of the first of five bells.
The second bell is found after descending the stairs next to the gymnasium. Players should circle around the gymnasium and then descend the stairs to the right after exiting the hallway. A building with the words “South Beach Middle School” above the doors will appear, and players should pass these doors and head to the doors directly on the left, where the bell is mounted above them.

The third bell is located in the red building adjacent on the left, a building characterized by large front windows. The bell is on the left side of the door, directly below the spotlight.

The fourth bell is on the roof of the building located in the southwest, a brick building lower than the surrounding buildings, with several power lines running above it. The bell is mounted on the back wall of this building.
The fifth and final bell is on a red brick wall next to the swimming pool. After performing a Wallride on all five bells, players will be one step closer to completing all stages of the game and unlocking all cheats and modifications in Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater.

While skating through these visually enhanced stages, fans can also enjoy a large number of new songs provided by 35 new artists on the Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and 2 Remake soundtrack.
