President Donald Trump issued an ultimatum Saturday to Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and military police, demanding they lay down their arms or face “certain death.” The move comes as the U.S.-led military offensive, dubbed “Operation Epic Fury,” enters its second day, aiming to destabilize the Iranian regime and potentially force a change in leadership.
Trump announced that strikes in Tehran have targeted hundreds of regime objectives, including Ayatollah Ali Jamenei, Iran’s supreme leader, who was found dead on the first day of the offensive. The escalating conflict raises concerns about wider regional instability and potential for further casualties.
We have hit hundreds of targets in Iran , including members of the Revolutionary Guard, Iranian air defense systems, just now we announced we took out nine ships and their naval building, all in a matter of minutes. The Supreme Leader of Iran Ayatollah Jamenei is dead.

In a message delivered Saturday, the president offered immunity to members of the Revolutionary Guard and military police who surrender their weapons. Though, he warned of “certain death” for those who do not comply. Trump stated he has received intelligence indicating a desire among Iranian security forces to surrender in exchange for immunity. “All military command has gone and many of them want to surrender to save their lives, they want immunity,” he said.
Trump also reiterated his call for the Iranian people to reclaim control of their country with U.S. Backing. This echoes previous statements urging a peaceful transition of power and suggesting support for a new government in Iran.
The president acknowledged that three U.S. Service members have been killed during the clashes and vowed retribution for their deaths. Donald Trump stated, “Sadly, there will be more before it’s over (the war). But the United States will avenge their deaths and deliver the most devastating blow to the terrorists waging a war, basically, against civilization.”
Earlier Saturday, the Army Central Command reported the first U.S. Casualties in the fighting, confirming three deaths and five serious injuries. The announcement underscores the increasing risks to American personnel as the conflict intensifies.
The offensive, launched February 28, 2026, represents a significant escalation in tensions between the United States, and Iran. Trump characterized Jamenei as “one of the most evil people in history” and framed the operation as a pursuit of justice for those harmed by the Iranian regime. The move underscores a hardline approach to foreign policy and a willingness to employ military force to achieve U.S. Objectives.
Meanwhile, Iran’s Revolutionary Guard has vowed to retaliate for Jamenei’s death, promising a “hard and decisive” punishment, according to reports from RTVE.es. The Guard warned of launching “the largest military operation in the history of the Armed Forces” against Israel and U.S. Targets in the Middle East.
Diario Libre reported that Israel confirmed the joint operation, dubbed “Epic Fury,” had killed seven high-ranking Iranian officials, including Defense Minister Aziz Nasirzadeh and Revolutionary Guard commander Mohamed Pakpur.
