The administration of President Donald Trump has proposed a 15-point ceasefire plan to Iran in an effort to conclude the ongoing conflict. The offer was conveyed to Tehran through Pakistan, acting as an intermediary.
According to two U.S. Officials familiar with the proposal, the ceasefire offer was first reported by The Latest York Times on Wednesday, March 25, 2026.
The New York Times reported that the 15-point ceasefire proposal has been presented to Iranian officials via Pakistan. Islamabad has also offered to host renewed negotiations between Washington and Tehran.

The specifics of the 15-point plan have not yet been made public.
Israel’s Channel 12 television news, citing three sources, reported that the U.S. Is seeking a month-long ceasefire to discuss the 15-point plan.
According to Israeli media reports, the U.S. Ceasefire proposal includes dismantling Iran’s nuclear program, ending support for proxy groups, and reopening the Strait of Hormuz.
The United States and Israel have been engaged in conflict with Iran since February 28, beginning with a large-scale joint attack by Washington and Tel Aviv against Tehran. Iran retaliated with a wave of missile and drone attacks targeting locations in Israel and Gulf countries hosting U.S. Military assets.
The office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has not yet responded. The Associated Press reported that some Israeli officials, who have advocated for Trump to continue the war against Iran, were surprised by the U.S. Offer of a ceasefire to Iran.
The White House has also not responded to the media reports.
However, Trump recently discussed the possibility of a deal with Iran to end the four-week-old war. On Tuesday, March 24, Trump claimed the U.S. Was making progress in efforts to negotiate an end to the war, including securing key concessions from Tehran.
Speaking to reporters at the White House, Trump said the U.S. Was in dialogue with “the right people” in Iran to reach an agreement to end the fighting, adding that Tehran was eager to reach a deal.
