UAE to Celebrate Decades of Strategic Brotherhood with Kuwait in Week-Long Event
The United Arab Emirates will launch a nationwide celebration of its deep-rooted fraternal and strategic ties with Kuwait starting January 29, 2026. The week-long event, ordered by UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, will take place across all emirates to honor the enduring kinship between the two Gulf nations.
In a statement shared via the social media platform X, President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed emphasized the historical significance of the relationship, describing Kuwait as a steadfast pillar of support for the UAE. “Our relations with Kuwait are relations of brotherhood, love, and kinship. it was the support before the Union and after it, and the hand that extended to give, help and support,” the President stated, adding that Kuwait’s sincere positions continue to the present day.
The directive underscores a legacy of mutual loyalty and stability in the region. To ensure the celebrations reflect the genuine affection between the two populations, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, has instructed all federal authorities to implement the President’s vision and showcase the profound bond shared by the people of the UAE and Kuwait.
This diplomatic gesture is complemented by ongoing high-level engagements aimed at maintaining regional security. President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed recently received the Kuwaiti Foreign Minister to discuss the strengthening of bilateral relations and the pressing challenges facing the region. During these consultations, the two leaders expressed their joint condemnation of Iranian attacks, warning that such actions could jeopardize international security and stability.
The meetings further focused on enhancing bilateral cooperation and monitoring regional developments to ensure continued peace.
Mansour bin Zayed also highlighted the emotional depth of the relationship, noting that Kuwait’s love is firmly rooted in the hearts of the Emirati people and that the nation’s noble stances remain etched in the UAE’s collective memory. This comprehensive approach—combining public celebration with strategic diplomacy—underscores the critical role the UAE-Kuwait partnership plays in the broader stability of the Gulf region.
