Ukraine carried out a large-scale attack on a Russian factory critical to the military industry on Tuesday. The factory, Kremnij El, in the city of Bryansk, approximately 70 miles from Ukrainian territory, was hit with Storm Shadow missiles.

While Ukrainian attacks on targets within the Russian Federation are becoming relatively common, this strike was notable for several reasons. The significance of the targeted facility, the number of missiles used, and the real-time monitoring via an observation drone hovering over the city all contributed to its exceptional nature.

Russian military bloggers and propagandists are questioning the whereabouts of air defenses and are vowing retribution.

The attack occurred shortly before 5:00 PM local time on Tuesday. Numerous videos have emerged from the city, capturing the sounds of multiple explosions emanating from the factory area.

The video also shows one of the Storm Shadow missiles itself.

According to Ukrainian OSINT account Kiber Borošno, at least seven missiles struck the factory. Five impacted the main building, number 4, while two others hit different structures within the factory complex.

Ukrainian forces later released drone footage captured while the aircraft was airborne over the city. The development underscores the increasing sophistication of Ukraine’s long-range strike capabilities and its ability to target key infrastructure within Russia.
