Ukraine Conflict Updates: Peace Talks Planned, Drone Attacks Continue

Meanwhile, concerns are growing about the effectiveness of Russia’s initial war plans. The conflict has as well drawn in foreign fighters, with reports indicating that approximately 1,000 Kenyans have been recruited to fight for Russia in Ukraine. At least 55 Ghanaians have been confirmed killed in the war, representing the highest number of casualties from a single African country.
Recent exchanges of bodies between Russia and Ukraine saw over 1,000 soldiers repatriated, according to announcements from both sides. This exchange occurred as Ukraine’s top negotiator met with U.S. Peace envoys in Geneva.
