MANAMAH – The U.S. Navy has withdrawn all its vessels from its base in Bahrain, according to satellite imagery, a move that comes amid heightened concerns over potential Iranian retaliation should conflict erupt. The development underscores growing regional tensions and raises questions about the preparedness of U.S. Forces in the Middle East.

The withdrawal mirrors a similar action taken by the U.S. Navy in June, following attacks on nuclear facilities. Israeli military officials now believe the United States has reached a “point of no return” regarding a potential strike, and senior military and political leaders will receive only short notice before any U.S. Action is taken.

Talks between the United States and Iran resumed Thursday in Geneva, Switzerland, with Oman acting as a mediator. Despite the ongoing diplomatic efforts, the threat of U.S. Military action remains and could be implemented at any time.

A significant number of U.S. Forces are currently deployed throughout the Middle East, including aircraft carriers, F-22 fighter jets now stationed in Israel, destroyers, and EC-130H Compass Call aircraft – considered one of the most advanced platforms for electronic warfare.

“The opportunity for the United States to refrain from launching a strike is diminishing hour by hour,” said a senior retired officer involved in regional operations.

“The question is when the first strike will occur, what form it will take, and how extensive its scope will be.”
