Veda Ega Pratama Finishes 5th in Moto3 Thailand 2026 | Race Results

Indonesian rider Veda Ega Pratama finished fifth in the Moto3 Thailand 2026 race at Buriram Circuit, Thailand, on Sunday, March 1st.

David Almansa, starting from pole position, led from the beginning of the race. Veda Ega, who started fifth, dropped to sixth position after the first turn.

By the third lap, Ryusei Yamanaka lost fifth place after a spill in Turn 6, allowing Veda Ega to move up to fifth. Shortly after, Cornas Buchanan as well crashed out of the race.

Entering the fourth lap, the top positions remained unchanged, with Veda Ega Pratama still in fifth, behind a quartet of Spanish riders: David Almansa, Maximo Quiles, Adrian Fernandez, and Alvaro Carpe.

On the fourth lap, Veda Ega Pratama climbed to fourth, overtaking Carpe. He quickly closed the gap to the podium positions.

By the seventh lap, Veda Ega had moved into third place, passing Adrian Fernandez at the end of the lap. He now trailed second-place Quiles by 1.8 seconds.

By lap nine, the gap between Veda Ega and Quiles had extended to 2.2 seconds, while Veda Ega had a close battle with the riders in fourth, fifth, and sixth.

On lap eleven, Veda Ega engaged in a tight battle with Alvaro Carpe for third position, but maintained his hold on the spot.

Also on lap eleven, Maximo Quiles overtook David Almansa for the race lead.

Unfortunately, on lap thirteen, Veda Ega lost third place, being passed by Carpe, Valentin Perrore, and Adrian Fernandez. Four riders were now tightly contesting the third position.

Malaysian rider Hakim Danish remained in 17th position through lap fifteen, while Veda Ega climbed back to fifth and then fourth at the end of the lap.

However, on lap sixteen, Veda Ega dropped back to sixth. He briefly regained third, but Carpe quickly reclaimed the position.

Almansa won the Moto3 Thailand 2026 race in a dramatic finish, just 0.003 seconds ahead of second-place finisher Maximo Quiles.

Valentin Perrore finished third, Carpe fourth, and Veda Ega Pratama finished fifth.
